By DAVID DICENZO HAMILTON (CP) - In today's hockey, size is an asset. And Raitis Ivanans is bigger than most. The Hamilton Bulldogs left-winger and resident enforcer towers over most of his teammates, his massive arms hanging from his broad shoulders like tree trunks. It took the native of Riga, Latvia, a lot of hard work and sweat to develop his hulking frame. He's a workout hound who gets to the gym whenever possible, lifting tremendous amounts of weight. His bench press, for example, usually maxes out at about 400 pounds. "Those are summer numbers," said the six-foot-four 245-pound behemoth, admitting that the toll of the hockey season definitely impacts his strength. - slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/AHL/2005/02/23/939887-cp.html
