Better hope they find a goalie in that time. Maybe they go after Dubnyk if he hits the market. Maybe they offer up one of their under achievers for one of the three Ottawa goalies.

While I don't think Hitch necessarily deserves anymore than the year, it does seem an odd message. Does it mean Armstrong isn't going to make any moves this summer? It's a 'this is your last chance' vote of confidence for the players and the coach? Armstrong can't be on a very long leash either.

The Blues originally drafted Bishop & traded him to Ottawa for a 2nd rounder. He's far better than anything they have now. When people talk about Bishop now they don't seem to mention that he did play for the Blues.
