Check out the inspiration for Liberal campaign posters ... Council ‘accidentally’ plants marijuana in city centre flowerbeds Harry Readhead for Metro.co.ukWednesday 27 May 2015 2:23 pmCouncil heads in the Kazakh capital have launched an investigation after cannabis plants began sprouting up in flowerbeds in the city centre. Local people in Astana City noticed an unusual aroma as they walked down Auezova Street and alerted the authorities when they found thousands of marijuana plants flourishing in the flower beds that line the road. The city council are now investigating whether the planting of the marijuana was a simple mistake or a deliberate act of guerilla gardening. Mihail Malorod was one of the residents who first noticed the plants. More

While I don't smoke it, I do believe it should be legalized - again. And, called what it is: Cannabis. Not the made up word: Marijuana. The latter was cooked up by the corporations behind the reefer madness campaigns in the 30s. Legalize hemp in every way. It's a renewable resource that can be used in a myriad of ways that big business is doing everything it can to stop.
Legalize it, tax it.
It's a natural substance that has shown to have medical benefits in a number of areas. Saw a news story today about vets in Cape Breton. One of them, suffering from ptsd, was taking 22 meds prior to legalized medical pot. He's down to 3 and the cannabis. Some uniformed like to play on the 'stoner' mentality, but when you're taking that many meds you're in every bit the fog and worse. Often the pills cause adverse side affects, which have to be medicated by something else, and on and on.
Besides all that, when's the last person you heard going on a cannabis induced rage?

true organic gardening.
many of the cops I know think it should be legalized . . . forget the decriminalized idea . . . it's mostly treated that way anyway. unless there's a "potload" of the stuff or something else ongoing (a warrant, or the cop has had a bad day) it's ignored.

The Fifth Estate's Mark Kelly does a spot on marijuana in Canada ... Mrs Dis and I watched a few months back ... interesting that the one pot vending machine (owned by "Chuck") yielded $1 million in a little over three months ... it's about 45 minutes or so, but very informative ... I really had no idea it was as accepted as it is in Canada ... well, BC anyway ... I have friends, here on the block, who are voting for Trudeau just because of his pot platform ...

My brother is a cop, and that's pretty much his attitude towards it too. You have to be doing something else, be a "person of interest" that they're looking for an excuse to get you off the street, or just being a jerk. Then he might bring you in. Otherwise, if you're doing it in public he might toss it down a sewer and tell you to go home. Assuming of course you're not trafficking. That's a different story.

You might remember SARS Stock a few years back ... there were approximately 450,000 people in attendance, an unbelievable amount of weed being smoked and only 21 arrests ... with that many people you must have been trying awfully hard to get arrested ... Cheers.

The states in the US that have legalized it have no regrets. Crime is down, they have huge tax revenues, and their residents are quite happy!!

Reap, if you have the time try to check out the Fifth Estate around the 21-minute mark ... they detail how Colorado is making out since legalizing pot ... also if you watch the first 10 minutes you'll see just how easy it is to get a prescription from a doctor using Skype ... it really is unbelievably easy ... Cheers.

Really, there is no logical reason other than prejudice. The revenue spin off's would go a long way in communities looking for that next industry!!
