Semin wears out his welcome again. That cap hit is $2.33M until 20-21. Yikes. They never spend at the top end of the cap anyway, but that is crazy.

Pierre Lebrun saying he's heard Martin Jones is now a Shark. No other news yet.
First rounder in 2016 and unsigned prospect Sean Kuraly heading Boston's way. First rounder? Not a bad haul for Sweeney depending on two things...where the Sharks finish and how deep is 2016. We know what the Sharks think of next year's draft. They were willing to trade a 2015 second rounder for Kevin Bieksa, but not a 2015 second rounder.

Jones moves up the coast instead of across the continent.
Semin is just a complete waste. All the talent in the world. No desire. He should be producing at ppg clip with the skill he has.

That's pretty hefty return for Jones, so Sweeney has earned some cred back after a wild weekend. 2016 first round looks pretty good, but lots can change in 12 months. I don't expect the SJ pick will be too high though, as they should finish among the better of the teams out West.
