Blues didn't get an awful lot, but Oshie is a perennial underachiever in the playoffs.

A 50-60 point player for Brouwer, a guy I never heard of and a third rounder ..... Sigh.

Blues didn't get an awful lot, but Oshie is a perennial underachiever in the playoffs. Which is likely why he was available and got that return. We don't need any more of those types, either. But the regular season pts. would've come in handy. Even a good portion of them. Oh well….

He's a consistent plus player on a team that's often been defense first during his tenure. Only one 20 goal season. Trotz is a structure guy in Washington, but he still manages to let the Caps score - during the season at least. The Caps look to be good on paper. We'll see if it translates. Brouwer, Ward, and Fehr were all a bit part of their core. Brouwer gone in trade, Ward gone as a UFA, and Fehr also testing the market. Even if the latter two wanted to come back, I don't think there will be room for them.
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Williams/Oshie Johansson-Kuznetsov-Williams-Oshie Chimera-Laich-?? Burakovsky-Beagle-Wilson
Ward or Fehr might be back to fill out the third line I guess.
