In a huge Sunday afternoon game against Edmonton, who held a two point lead for the last playoff spot in the North Division, the Cardiac Canines pulled off a huge W. They jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, only to sit back and watch Edmonton tie it up heading into the third. It was all Dogs from that point on as they scored three unanswered goals in the third to claim the 6-3 win and a tie with Edmonton for fourth place in the Division. WOW. It wasn't that long ago that the Dogs were behind Edmonton by double digit points. Great run and let's hope they keep it going and secure that last spot.
Higgins with two, Ferland with two, Pleks with a shorthanded goal, Ward with a goal, and Danis picks up the win.
I guess this makes that loss 4-1 in Grand Rapids last night a little easier to swallow.

The playoff spot was short-lived however as Syracuse came back to beat AHL-leading Rochester in a shoot-out. The crazy North Division now has Syracuse in 4th one point ahead of both Edmonton and our Doggies. Cleveland is only a few points behind as well so cannot be counted out one bit. Here is the report on the Dogs' big win today. www.canoe.ca/Bulldogs/News/2005/03/13/959775.html
