Canadian Olympic Team

There's been some news about the Olympic team lately, naming of coaches...Babcock, with assistants Quenneville, Trotz, Julien and now Bill Peters of Carolina. I find this last choice interesting because guys like Dave Tippett, Alain Vigneault and Daryl Sutter were bypassed, not to mention our very own Michel Therrien. Were these latter four invited and declined or were they just never asked? If not, I'm curious as to why. I'll never get an answer on that of course, but it would seem that, somewhere in this favoured land, they're not held in high enough esteem.
