The surging Prince Albert Raiders welcomed back centre Kyle Chipchura tonight as they went on to win 3-2 against Saskatoon, thus winning their first round WHL matchup in 4 straight games. Although Kyle did not Chip in on the scoreboard, I am sure that PA fans and Hab fans alike are glad to see big Kyle back in action after that horrible and unlucky tendon accident earlier in the season. As PA now advances, that means Kyle will get at least another 4 games in this season, and hopefully more behind the solid goaltending of Rejean Beauchemin, and the offensive leadership of Colliton, Chipchura and others. www.whl.ca/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1000981

Hard to believe that Chipchura had more ice time last night than all of the NHL players did this entire year. Good to have him back and hope his career progresses the way I think it will.

Kyle has 1 goal and 3 assists in four playoff games. Does anybody know if he is getting much ice time with scoring teamates? Is his skating rusty? Are there any lingering effects from the leg injury? He appears to be right back in the swing of things.

Chipchura has played the first two games on the 4th line. I listened to them on the radio, so I can't say how his skating is, but when I talked to him, he said he felt his skating wasn't 100%, but in talking with people that were at the games, they said his skating is fine.

A nice little article from the WHL site about Chipper and his return from injury, and the success of the Raiders in the playoffs so far. www.whl.ca/thisweek/?id=2992

PA faces elimination on Sunday. Will be interesting to see if the team can overcome this and put it together for the next 2 games and advance to the WHL finals?

Prince Albert tied the series at 3 games apiece last night, winning in OT. Chipchura kept off the scoresheet. Deciding game tomorrow night.

Chipchura represents the last flicker of excitement. Two evenly matched teams. (well almost, it's 3-3) This is where we see who digs down deep and comes up a winner.
