Tellqvist steals it for the Baby Buds. Bummer.
The Kostitsyn-Bégin-Ward line accounted for a third of the Bulldogs' shots. The Higgins-Plekanec-Miettenen trio almost matched that ouput. It seems that finally Jarvis has stable, and dangerous, first and second lines.

Watched the game last night. The only reason the baby buds won was:
a. Telquest; and b. Clutching and grabbing.
Everytime Kost touched the puck, it seamed that a leaf player was either giving him a bear hug or was draped on him like a curtain.
I know almost every team does this to a certain extent, but it was more noticable last night on Kost.
Too bad, the dog outplayed them 2 of 3 periods.

Me, I had to watch the game on radio (in colour, though) because my TV has been a non-functional piece of modern art for the past couple of weeks. Man, we need those bigger nets, eh? Your observation re Kostitsyn just goes to show that for every positve change coaches will find a counter-measure. Also, and more encouraging for us Habs fans, the degree of (illegal) attention lavished on our young Belarussian speaks to the level of threat he is perceived to present to the enemy. So, paradoxically, it's a good thing that he is being interfered with.

Telquist was indeed a rock. Leafs might finally have a good goalie prospect there...
Kots was the best offensive player for the Dogs IMO. Has the puck on a string... Very few players can go pick the puck in a corner and make it all the way to the slot to take a good shot. Though people say he's come to life when used with Ward and Begin, it would be interesting to see what a good playmaker could do with him... Either Koivu or Ribs... In any case, the last 2 games has me excited about this prospect.

Your right about Kost's ability to hang onto that puck. A number of times I watched him battle thru 2 players coming from the corner and still have control of the play. And on top of that, still make a scoring chance. He is definatly strong on his skates. In the mold of a Daniel Alfredsson type of player.
I find it interesting that Jarvis put him on a line with Begin and Ward. Those 2 will most likely be on the same line when play resumes in Montreal. That line has the grinder (Begin) the muscle (Ward) and the sniper (Kost's). I wonder....

Is AK still playing RW? And who is centering the line, Begin or Ward?

He sounds like he has one of the key ingredients needed in a superstar - strength. So why is he not scoring?
