It's all happening!!!
This deal addresses a serious need for the Preds. Columbus is lining up to replace RyJo with an excellent forward prospect this spring and Jones will slot in and play top pair minutes. I like the deal for what it represents. It's a true hockey deal.

Just shows us what it takes to acquire top flight prospects.

Exactly. Any deal for Johansen would have to start with Beaulieu and with better prospect pieces added (eg McCarron and Scherbak). Not out of the question, of course, but Seth Jones is a pretty good return. I'd say right now that Columbus got the better of that. Nashville has a deep defense (though Weber is sinking fast) but they really need that top notch centre. Similar to us.

I have Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg in both of my fantasy pools, and both of my teams need a boost right now ... I think if Nashville decides to pair them up they'll get some results from these guys ... still address my goaltending issues though ... familiar story, eh ...
Cheers.

Sports net reporting tonight that Nugent-Hopkins was offered for Seth Jones.

Nuge might have a little more skill, but Poile saw the big body of RyJo and plenty of skill to fit in with the likes of Forsberg and I think he likely made the right call (if RyJo has the attitude in check).
