The Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to announce that Duncan Milroy has been named the Bulldogs’ winner of the American Specialty/AHL Man of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the Hamilton community and charitable organizations during the 2004-05 season. This marks the second consecutive season that Milroy has been named the Bulldogs American Specialty/AHL Man of the Year.
In his first two seasons with the Bulldogs, Milroy took it upon himself to give back to the Hamilton community and area. Milroy has been a great ambassador for the Bulldogs and participated in several Bulldogs initiatives during the 2004-05 season.

• Helped raise over $30,000 for the “Raise A Reader” program in conjunction with CanWest and CHTV.
• Personally donated $1,000 in support of the Sanford School Nourishment program. Aside from monetary donation, Duncan served pancakes to inner city youths and presented a cheque to assist in further expansion of the program.
• Honourary Chairman for the ‘TD Smiles On Ice Game’ in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital.

On the ice, Milroy has played in 70 games for the Bulldogs this season and has earned 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points.
In recognition of his efforts, Milroy will be presented with an etched crystal trophy during an on-ice presentation prior to Wednesday’s Bulldogs home game versus the Milwaukee Admirals.
Milroy, a 22-year-old native of Edmonton, Alberta, is now one of 28 finalists for the 2004-05 Yanick Dupre Memorial Award, honouring the overall American Specialty/AHL Man of the Year. The league award is named after the former Hershey Bears forward and AHL All-Star who died in 1997 following a 16-month battle with leukemia.
