Babcock on concussions - not so enlightened

Not related to Babcock, but definitely to the concussion problems. Bruce Arthur retweeted some emails from Shanahan to Bettman. See below.

If I read that right, it's as if Bettman is hoping there'd be a concussion that day. Am I crazy?

I think Bettman meant that there was bound to be a concussion….which is basically admitting the rules in place allow for them.

Pretty much everything was said during that email exchange except for, "Fighting sells tickets…"

I can't find that hit referenced in the MONT NJ game in Dec 2011. We didn't mention it in our GDT. I guess our guy wasn't suspended ... Surprise surprise
