On EOTP they said the habs and kings have been scouting each other heavily. .. maybe MB will trade Weise to the kings so him and Lucy can be roomates on road trips.

Markov would be a good fit. They've got Doughty and Muzzin on the right side. Martinez on the left. After Alec, it's McBain and Gravel. Matt Greene, another rhd, is on ltir. Schenn is another rhd. Ehrhoff is buried. Schenn, McBain, and Ehrhoff are pending UFAs. They've got almost $2.5 million in cap space, and less than $16 million committed to defense next year. Andrei would be sheltered behind Doughty, and would fit in on their power play.

.....maybe Habs will get Budaj back ....lol
Can't see Markov leaving ever... he's had too many chances before and he's been through several of these melt downs.

You never know, maybe Markov's wife of GF loves the idea of LA, and it would mean a winning team with a decent chance at a Cup...
I just hope they don't surprise him with this like they did with Gorges. That was shoddy treatment of a respected vet (overpaid though he was).

I would think the Kings would be more interested in Emelin, given he plays the heavy game they like out there.
Actually, if I had to pick who they were scouting I would say Gilbert. They could use a 5th or 6th defenseman, they don't have a lot of cap room, and they certainly don't need the extra contract for next season. So I could see them being interested in a guy like Gilbert, with maybe a cap dump like Erhoff and a B level prospect coming back (the Kings don't have a lot of picks in this year's draft).

Any team with Luke Schenn could use another RH dman.

Doughty Martinez Schenn/McBain
With the top two, it doesn't call for much use of that third pair right side.

Markov then? Left d-man? Or maybe they were checking out Scrivens.

Markov then? Left d-man? Or maybe they were checking out Scrivens. If he'll waive, I think Markov is a viable option. Ehrhoff won't be back. Greene can't stay healthy.

Hopefully we can get one of their young big forwards.
Pearson maybe.
I too think Markov won't be moved anywhere except Washington. But I doubt he moves.

More likely its one of their bottom 6, energy guys like Jordan Nolan. He's that one missing piece for us.
