Saw Carlos Santana here in town last night and it was probably the best bang-for-your-buck concert I've seen for Kingston ... he played the traditional favourites, but I liked his whole approach to the show ... thought I was in Woodstock for a minute ... he talked about being content and enjoying life as much as he talked about anything else ... "don't play Amazing Grace at my funeral" was another message ... also, I knew his wife played the drums, but I didn't expect to see her on playing last night ... man, can she ever play the skins ... Carlos did a tribute to Prince last night, as well ... Meatloaf is up next in May ... I missed out on tickets and I don't have any intension on paying overinflated prices in USD to see him ... James Taylor is here, too, but I can't pay what they're asking ...
Cheers.

Saw Santana in Edmonton last year, he open for Rod Stewart. He was fantastic as usual. Saw Meatloaf a couple years ago in PEI, it was the highlight of that summer.
