Unlikely to make the NHL, so Europe is a good bet for him to improve his lot.

Playing in Europe is not a bad gig ... they might not make as much as they would in the NHL, but players usually have a comfortable lifestyle ... lots of positives from former NHLers who lived over there ... just experiencing the different cultures was good enough for me when I lived there ...
Cheers.

Cheers. If he gets on somewhere decent, he will likely make more than he would in the AHL. He'll get to see the world and travel will be a breeze.

This was not the least bit surprising news when I saw the article this morning. He had a good first glance with the Habs, but just was passed by too many and just lacked a bit more speed and size that would be ideal for the crash and bang role.
The IceCaps will now have lost two of their top offensive leaders in Holloway and Dumont, their captain and their associate captain, and two of their most consistent performers night in and night out in yet another bad season under Lefebvre (do we know of any other kind of season yet under his time?). Those are gaps that will need to be replaced as this will still be a very young and inexperienced team come the fall.
Not every prospect has what it takes to make it full time in the NHL, so good luck to him wherever he ends up as he did give his all in whatever role was asked of him.

I don't think we lost the next Gretzhy or a top line forward. Well, maybe the next Gretzhy but not Gretzky.j Brent Gretzky?
