A team would have to do a hell of a sell job on me to get me to sign before the UFA date. I see no upside for the player to doing so because if I like Arizona's pitch, I can sign with them after July 1. Why not find out what other interest there is? If I'm a GM of a team, I'd better have one hell of a good reason for the player to sign before coughing up a draft choice for a hope and a prayer.
