Glad to hear about Stock but disappointed about Hirsch. I thought his segment on the shrinking goalie equipment was excellent.

Glad to hear about Stock but disappointed about Hirsch. I thought his segment on the shrinking goalie equipment was excellent. Agree whole heartedly. The best piece of investigative journalism seen on hnic in years. Desjardins was responsible for regional Habs games. I didn't have any issue with her.

They are saying sportsnet lost a boat load of money this year, saying there may be more cuts yet.

Sportsnet is saying that David Amber, formerly of TSN, will join Ron MacLean in the studio. Amber is decent. He was a jack of all trades for TSN; covering a multitude of sports. He comes across as a bit of a square, but he's got plenty of sports related experience.

August 10th. Mike Johnson fired by Rogers. Too bad. IMO, Johnson is one of the best color and studio analysts in the business.

Looks like they got rid of most of the people covering the Habs - Jaffe, Johnson and Desjardins were regulars on the regional broadcasts. I thought they actually did a good job, but since there weren't spewing Leafs propaganda, they got to go. I'm not surprised Cox got sent back to McGowan show. Just wishing Brunt would come back.
