Sounds like a good show.
He's not for everybody but I really like Jeremy Hotz. Would have liked to see him live.

I was at the show - it was really good. PK was aided by a strong lineup (Hotz was very funny), but he more than held his own. I've been to a few galas now and the hosts aren't always strong (Eric Stonestreet in particular was terrible) but PK was exactly as you expected him to be. He's just a natural behind a mic. Granted, it helped that it was a PK love-fest, with the crowd routinely chanting his name and all, but still, he delivered.
I thought that he might bring out Shea Weber at one point, to basically say "he's a great guy, you're going to love him", which would have been a nice gesture... but he didn't. I also thought that at the end of the show, during his farewell speech, he might say something like "I've poked fun at Marc and Michel tonight, but the truth is they are great guys and I never had a problem with them"... or something like that. But again, he didn't. He left me with the impression that he now views them in the same way as he viewed the Boston crowd in that great Game 7, and that he fully intends to "take that away from them." I see a Patrick Roy puck toss in Michel Therrien's future.

Tried getting to the JFL festival but it didn't work out ... hope there is some animosity between the two camps, BC, and I hope it carries on well past Subban's on-ice career ... TSN690 was trying to make Subban's comedy routine into an issue this morning ... I only heard about five minutes of it but, I thought it sounded like a sideshow to the trade more than anything else ...
Cheers.

Yeah. Another comic (Pat Dussault) wrote PK's material, but he obviously didn't change it. I wrote another post on the PK/Weber thread containing some of his quips. Cutting, one could call them, even if they were designed to create laughs.
I think PK tired of the 'leaks' about his attitude and decided to strike back. There's a definite impasse between he and Thergevin. Interesting, though, that Mrs Beliveau was there on stage with him. A subtle message about 'leadership' and class.
