From TSN: According to multiple reports, the Arizona Coyotes have acquired forward Dave Bolland and prospect Lawson Crouse from the Florida Panthers in exchange for a second and third round pick in 2017. Bolland scored one goal and four assists in a campaign plagued by lingering injuries. He appeared in just 25 games last season and has played a total of 78 games over two seasons with the Panthers. link

Florida also gets picks back in trade. They get better of Arizona/Detroit third in 17, and second in 18. If Crouse doesn't play for Arizona this year, the pick is a third. If he does, it's a second.

I always like Bolland. Overpaid, but a good player.

Well, for Florida, this has no impact on ice if last season was barometer of how good they are. Bolland was injured most of time and basically non-contributor. Florida has rather mediocre attendance, maybe their primary motive is to dump a high salary. Crouse was pretty high first rounder short time ago, so this seems to suggest they quickly come to see him as relative bust.
Arizona is clearly trying to improve on ice product for this season. Maybe I am wrong but I thought Coyote franchise continued to be very challenged financially or is Bettman continue to give league (i.e. other clubs) money to help Arizona?

Arizona has a lot of salaries that are used for the cap but aren't actually being paid out. Datsyuk and Pronger on (LTIR) and are probably worth over 12 million that won't get paid out. Florida is trying to save cap space to sign all their young players to long term deals. Its why they shipped Savard contract (LTIR) to New Jersery. Also I wouldn't be surprised if Bolland goes on LTIR soon.

I guess a young prospect like Crouse is the cost to get rid of some contracts and add some cap space for Florida. Remains to be seen what they do with it, but at a minimum it lets them be a buyer at the trade deadline or even sniff around a bit more during the season.

But he'd better not play him on the top 2 lines. I won't be surprised, though, if Chucky is on the 3rd line at some point. Therrien won't call it that but the ice time will.
