Mats is in Toronto (I assume for the WCOH) and he told the following to a Swedish reporter:
Risto Pakarinen @puckarinen “I’d rather be in Montreal.” – Mats Näslund to Swedish TV reporter on what it’s like to be in Toronto. 5:01 PM - 20 Sep 2016 134 134 Retweets 236 236 likes
I love Mats... I have a CentreLine Habs jacket that has a graphic on it that looks like Mats. Bought it when I was 23 years old.

I was kind of surprised when le Club passed him over on his return to the NHL ... he was one our most popular players back in the day (hmm ... my spider sense is tingling) ... Boston signed him and I remember Matts getting 2 assists in his first game against the Habs ... we lost that one handily, IIRC ...
Cheers.

He was my first favourite player as a kid. I got to meet him when I was around 8 and had him sign a poster I had in my bedroom for years. Recently I ended up working with someone whose brother was on the Habs for a few years in the late 80s. He asked me who my favourite player was in that era and I didn't hesitate to tell him Mats (it wasn't his brother, but he was a huge part of those teams). The next day he gave me a game-used white Torspo of Naslund's. Got a Courtnall one too! Ya, I was a huge fan of Mats. Still the last Hab to score over 100 pts.

He was a favorite of mine as well.
