Couldn't resist this. Great line by Obama. Am really going to miss him when he's gone from the presidency.

He's clearly got a staff that comes up with material, but he can deliver the line. It's going to be a while before we see as well spoken and engaging a person working out of the Oval Office.

i don't know about more than four, actually . . . I can't see whoever wins being a two-termer . . . whichever party loses will run a watermelon against the winner in 2020 and win.

You're assuming the incumbent runs for a second term. Was Cranky born in the US? He could liven things up, fire Putin, etc.

You're assuming the incumbent runs for a second term. Was Cranky born in the US? He could liven things up, fire Putin, etc. Regardless of the outcome, the GOP is in total disarray. Trump winning the nomination is the least of their problems even if it's the most discussed. What got them here is people like the Kochs and the Tea Party. The Kochs are the billionaires that Trump pretends to be. They sponsor and promote, through their various shell companies and organizations, fear mongering, racism, facism, cronyism and a few other isms I'm sure. Their not-so-quiet subversion of the GOP lead directly to this. It gave voice to, and legitimized, the radical right. They've sponsored people who have no concept of politics or governing, provided they promote their ideals. They've run the normal people out of the party and turned into a party full of cooks. The Newsroom did a great piece about it. The DNC would never have sponsored Abbie Hoffman in the 60s. He was way too far to the left. Through the efforts of the Kochs, they've effectively done that - just from the other end of the spectrum. Seriously, I'm surprised Trump didn't ask Ted Nugent to be his running mate. That's the state the party is in. If any of these guys were in the party 150 years ago, there are still slaves. They've swung that far away from sense.
