from cbc.ca
D'Agostini finished second on the Storm in both goals and points behind New York Rangers prospect Ryan Callahan as an OHL rookie in 2004-05; finished eighth among OHL rookies with 46 points in just 59 games; possesses a wealth of offensive acumen but lacks size and strength; registered two assists in four games against the eventual Memorial Cup champion London Knights in the first round of the OHL playoffs; must prove he can play in high traffic areas.

D'Agostini had a 0 plus-minus on a team (Guelph Storm) that had only 5 players with plus figures.
CBC says 170 pounds, hockeysfuture says 175, quotes one scout "a perimeter player" who can make plays, shoot and score, also that he scored 3/4 of his goals in the first half of last season. The second coming of Brian Savage?
I'd be interested to know where he played before last season and what his hockey background is. If he hasn't been playing for long, his recent fast progress might be significant. I'm remembering Chris Chelios here.
It looks to me like the Canadiens really rolled the dice on pick 190. Not a bad thing to do.

Not a bad thing to do. He might fill the gap left by the departure of Thinel. Same size, slightly smaller and a poorer scorer. After the top 100 they're all longshots. All the more reason to maximize a #5 pick with a potential superstar................
