Vigneault signs extension with Rangers

He had one year left. That year has been torn up. New deal, starting next season, is 3 years. He'll make $4 million in each of the first 2 years and $4.25 million in the last. The deal makes him the 3rd highest paid coach in the league behind Babcock and Quenneville.
