In their youth, skill, and toughness movement, Long Beach signed another graduating CHL player, big defenseman Luke Fritshaw from Chipchura's PA Raiders. Fritshaw is not only a big punishing Dman, but he was also the top scoring blueliner in PA last season. After signing tough guy Wenzel from Lewiston who was a team-mate with Habs' prospects Halak and newly drafted Aubin, the Long Beach-Hab prospect pipeline is interesting to say the least. I am sure a few of these young Ice Dogs will also get a looksee at the Bulldogs training camp as part of the affiliation agreement. Once Hamilton is finally a Habs' only club this may pay dividends. These ECHL signings may never make it to the AHL, but I like the overall direction that Malcolm Cameron is taking the Ice Dogs in his second season as both Head Coach and Director of Player Development. www.icedogs.com/fullstory.php?id=238
