Apparently nashville is looking to bolster their d for a playoff run...
I wonder if they'd take Rivet, plus a prospect (hossa), or maybe quintal, a prospect and Perrault for David Legwand.
Another thought... Once Brian Savage clears waivers, it might me interesting to see if phoenix would deal him and pick up some of his salary (say half). If he could be had cheap (late pick, fringe player), i'd do it... He and Koivu have had some good chemistry in the past, it could make our top two lines a little more potent... Zed-Koivu-Savage Ryder- Ribeiro- Dagenais/Begin Bulis-Perrault/Kilger-Sundstrom Langdon-Juneau-Dackell
still not great, but not terrible...

ummm NO ...
Legwand is a young Savage. Enormous potential but a 10 cent work ethic. And I hate Savage.

Another totally illogical trade. How do you guys (or girls) think up this nonsense? Legwand for Hossa, Perreault, and Rivet??? Nashville is trying to move forward not backwards!

Apparently nashville is looking to bolster their d for a playoff run... The Link posted by Mr. Bozo in the Gonchar thread mentioned Nashville as a possible player in the Gonchar saga. Poile really wanted Legwand at the draft table in '98 and would be reluctant to give him up for Rivet. If he's going to give up Legwand for a D man I think he will aim higher.

What's up with Nashville, do they think they'll have a shot at the Cup? Must be watching too much of last year's run by Minnesota.... ;D

Savage !!! No way. He's not even a has been, he's a "has never been". A one dimensional offensive player that doesn't even produce all that much... This guy based his whole carreer on what he might perhaps one day do... At least when he was young we could always feel he could devellop...
Pass big time for me.

Same here. There's a reason he's on waivers, after all.

Same here. There's a reason he's on waivers, after all. The only thing that Savage worth is SALVAGE value........and I wouldn't pay a plug nickel to SaLvage that junk.... Why do you people persist in giving me nightmares? Rosie, Salvage, MThead, AuDead, McNothing, Peanut.......they are responsible for so many gray hairs that they practically made me an albino.....
