Buried in the fine print, way down near the bottom ...
Good on those kids. Hopefully those that conveniently 'forgot' are held over the coals a while, pay some level of restitution for ignoring the deal, and start planning events for the future.

I doubt anyone in Boston, or anyone who has any knowledge of JJ is surprised. Just another example of greed hurting a lot of people to subsidize a small number who usually don't need it.

72 mandated fundraisers not held.
Was it incumbent upon Jacobs and his people to organize the 3 events per year? The law states he agreed to host/hold them.
If the Metropolitan District Commission/Dept. of Conservation and Recreation had requested fundraisers and been turned down, that would've been a breach of contract on Jacobs's part. But that doesn't appear to be the case.
Sounds like incompetence at the city level and willful negligence on Jacobs's part. i.e. "If they don't ask for their lawful fundraisers, don't remind them...."
Even though Jacobs would not incur any losses--as fundraising proceeds are usually net--such an "oops" also freed-up 72 days/nights for the facility to be leased for profit.
