Last night, our recently enhanced Hamilton Bulldogs took the play to the Cleveland Barons in Welland, Ontario and came away 7-4 winners on the night. Recently demoted Habs' unhappy campers Kostitsyn, Michaud, Lambert, Lavallee and others had a good night and showed their recent NHL camp form. Michaud was in net for the win, Kosty had two goals and an assist (good for second star), and 20 year old tryout Jamie Tardif (from Peterborough Petes, Cdn U-18 two years ago, and Habs rookie camp weeks ago) had another solid game and received first star in front of his home town fans. Once again, my plug for this kid is in, as I saw him in two rookie camp games and he plays with some real jam and has some nice skills. I for one, am breathing a sigh of relief that AK had 3 points, even if it was a pre-season game. This kid has got to score and last year was a real step back in that direction. Then he didn't impress at the Habs camp this year, so it started to make doubts creep into my head. Two power play goals and an assist. Good stuff. Keep it going Andrei!

On other boards the word "bust" was already creeping in for heavens sake. He is only 20, just done one full year in NA, heck, one full year with mainly one team (and a sidebar to his national junior squad). He needs to learn how to use his linemates more as he in no longer the only guy on the ice (like his teams prior to coming to Hamilton). Jarvis taught him some D zone skills, and those will only get better with time... but hopefully we will all remember that we drafted this kid to wheel and deal. He has an incredible shot, and once he figures out that he can best use that by not skating through the whole team, then it will be gold.

How much power play time did Kostitsyn the Elder see under Jarvis?

How much power play time did Kostitsyn the Elder see under Jarvis? Minimal - but he did see the occasional PP time.
