Thanks les boys ... this was the roster as it looked right after the expansion draft ... I had a Habs image ready to go, but I wanted the focus for Tuesday's game thread to be solely on LV ... as far as the game goes, Vegas is 3-3 on the road and I'd like to put them under .500 ... the Golden Knights are going to be pumped going into the Bell Centre and hopefully our team will be too ...
Cheers.

Hey, a picture of the mysterious Mr. Schlemko.

Vegas is a very quick team. It will be interesting to see how our defense handles that. Offsetting that quickness is the fact they have to play a 4th string goalie.

If memory serves, we don't do so well in first games against expansion teams ...

Vegas never quits. Battled back from 1-3 down last night in Toronto to send it to OT.
The 1-on-1 gimmick got the Leafs the extra point, but it was mostly Vegas for the last half of the game.

Don't remind me of that game... we played like crap and the Sens won the cup that night Yeah but the Habs won the real thing in June 1993.

No one seems interested in commenting on an expansion team. Looking like we were running away with it but Belllemare cuts it to 2-1. Petry looked very foolish and Morrow wasn’t able to support quickly enough.

Yup Petry had a very bad period. Unforced turnovers as usual and still looking for his jock strap after being beaten badly.
Boys better smarten up as one thing about Vegas, they will not go away.

Nice deflection play from Petry to Max. 3-1.

Boys are playing sloppy. Vegas spending way too much time in our zone as we run around.

I have a feeling that the next goal wins this game.
Vegas is sneaky fast/good...
Lindgren with a big save off a breakaway....

Yup. Give away after give away in our end: Benn, Petry, Alzner, Morrow. Don't know how we ever win a game. CHARLIE!

Legace kept the Golden Knights in it. Lindgren fights off a late surge.

Yup. Give away after give away in our end: Benn, Petry, Alzner, Morrow. Don't know how we ever win a game. CHARLIE! I didn't have an overly high opinion of our D in past seasons, but right now our D is horrible. After Weber, everyone is hit and miss from game to game. Mete is probably #2 overall in terms of reliability. Alzner could have cost us the game, he tripped a guy during a PK and got away with it, but a 5 on 3 could have led to a goal and a change in momentum much earlier in the game, giving LV enough time to tie it...

I don't know what we're going to do? As you say, after Weber and a raw 19 year old it is pretty thin. Alzner and Benn are horrific. Petry is not much better in his own end, but at least he can skate. Perhaps this is MB's camouflage for a tank?
