How does that Kanata rink location choice look now? LeBreton flats may help immensely, but not sure he will ever really open his wallet enough to field a championship team.

His rant on tv has made the big outdoor game about his whiny issues. it's all about him, all the time. not going over well for some strange reason. looks great for the original corn field owners and the developers who build near it, though a downtown/Lebreton location was always preferred. of course, local/regional/federal politics precluded the rink being built "downtown" at that time. there, fixed it. Eugene, if the team's your "toy". just man up and pay for the privilege of being in the club. if it's supposed to be a money making proposal, sell it, 'cause that' when you make money. quitcherbellyachin' |

I can see him sellingvvto the cirque de Soleil guy and the team moving to Quebec. The guy has very deep pockets and he's got the Quebec government on his side imo as well a PK peladeau.

If they can't sell out during the Conference Finals, when Wil they fill the building? gotta remember that Ottawa is a government town, and there is a whole heapa financial trouble here right now called Phoenix. when you are three months and more waiting for a pay cheque . . . when a cheque finally comes in and it's for $8 . . . you aren't going to be going to a whole lot of hockey games! |
