I've been on the net for 20 years and for the first time, I discovered that companies can delete sent emails.
I was dealing with Bell who has gone back on what they agreed on. I had an email about the subject from them. One year later, they are not honoring what we agreed on and they asked me to confirm it with the email they sent me.
The email is GONE from my inbox. Worse yet, when I asked them to resend me the email the agents response was...what email? There is no record of the entire conversation. Never mind any emails.
My email box has EVERY business email from early 2001, but not the email from Bell last year. Me deleting business emails simply does not happen, yet, it's GONE. That is when I started Googling "self deleting email". Surprise! They exist.
This is a bit of a shocker to me because I depend on emails to be proof of a conversation/agreement.
So be warned, keep a printed copy of emails as documents.
Also be warned that these aholes will also dismiss printed copies, claiming they are not "authentic emails'.
Welcome to 2018
