I don't necessarily want to something that isn't right. Just wondering what's out there. Mods, if this is inappropriate please delete.
I have access to Netflix but this is part of the reason I ask this question. I started watching a Swedish crime show Called The Bridge & I'm now hooked. I was 3 episodes from the end of season 3 when I discovered that Netflix dropped it. They have done this to me before. Shows go without warning.
I tried finding it at a public library but there is nothing close to me & I don't want to buy an entire season for 3 episodes. Does anybody out there watch TV like this? If you do, how is it done. What about the legality?
Thanks

Netflix lists what shows will end at the end of each month , on their website I believe
As for streaming. I get all the NHL, MLB, NFL, NBA and European Soccer games through Team Expat IPTV. As well I stream movies and TV shows through Terrarium TV ... All this for $9 / month
NFL Sunday Ticket wasn't offered in NL last year so I had to find other options.
I watched this Swedish show on Netflix called The Rain .... Who'd a thunk Swedish TV would be so popular

Scandinavian shows seem really popular in other parts of Europe now.

I've never seen "The Rain" because I don't have Netflix ... I don't want to jack your thread, jkr, but I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions on how much folks like Netflix ... we're looking to cut down our monthly bill and I've heard a lot of good about it ... I've also got another browser open with Terrarium TV on it ... checking it all out, man ...
Cheers.

Scandinavian shows seem really popular in other parts of Europe now. Scandinavian series are very successful for quite some time. Danish series Borgen or Swedish series Real Humans and Johan Falk come to my mind. It's no surprise that Netflix and Co. oblige producers from there. I can also recommend two German series: Crime Scene Cleaner, which is absolutely brilliant and hilarious, and Bad Banks, a new series, which got great reviews. But I don't know if this series is already dubbed into English. I don't necessarily want to something that isn't right. Just wondering what's out there. Mods, if this is inappropriate please delete. I tried finding it at a public library but there is nothing close to me & I don't want to buy an entire season for 3 episodes. Does anybody out there watch TV like this? If you do, how is it done. What about the legality? Just a warning. Don't ever use free streaming websites without an ad blocker and other content blockers. These "free" sites are contaminated with bad ads and other annoying things, e.g. coin mining scripts.

I particularly enjoyed the British cop show Luther.

As a moderator, I will not mention torrent sites. Nor say that it's the fastest way to get all the recent programming.

I don't know the legal situation overseas but torrents are a fast way to go to jail because if you download some file, you offer this file at the same time to all the other users, e.g. law enforcement agencies or law firms.

Depends....the streaming ones are not free, but some are a few dollars a month. As with everything, you need to know the VPN and which country it uses. It's important to have control and know the law or cooperation of those countries. Outside the main western countries, you'd be surprised at the yawn level of authorities. Notice the word...MAIN western countries. Also many countries laws see downloading as civil issue and do not allow disclosure unless it's criminal. Contrary to Hollywoods wet dream of criminalizing downloading, most non main Western countries don't see downloading and murder on the same legal level. Of course, NEVER trust them for emails, Skype or personal stuff. All of this info is on the net.......

10 bucks a month plus streaming charges (which can add up if you have a millennial living with you -- so you should be OK). Streaming charges = bandwidth? ... we watch a lot of movies ... only watched a few series but they were all on HBO ... if Netflix has these series' then I can be a binge-watch with the best of them ... a few of those series; Oz, The Sopranos, Rome, I like The Graham Norton Show but I don't watch much British TV ... one British series called "Sharpe" was a low-budget series that revolved around an English officer and his men as they chased Napoleon around Europe ... another older British series I enjoyed was "I Cladius" ... does Netflix provide any of these older British series' ... thanks for the info, BTW ... Cheers.

I've seen series 1 and 4 of Black Mirror and enjoy it. I used to be a downloader, but with Netflix and a DVR I'm getting more stuff to watch than I have time for already. And Netflix, downloading shows on a tablet, is an awesome combo.
