Thought I would let you all know the we are having a big day on July 10th at the Hockey Hall of Fame to celebrate Canada's 3 Gold medal winning teams this year (Jr.'s, Women's Olympic, and Para-Olympic). I'm not sure how many of you are in the Toronto area but it will be a great chance to meet our future superstar Guillaume Latendresse as he is scheduled to be there. We will be giving away a poster for each team and allowing guests to have them signed by each team member. The only cost for this will be the regular $13 admission charge which will include the posters and autograph. Here is a link with more info. for anyone who may be interested: www.hhof.com/html/newsCanadaDay.shtmlI will be there working as usual so feel free to ask for Stubbs (Dave) if you like, as I would be interested to put a face to some of your posts.

Didn't we win the World Juniors, The Men's World Championship and the Women's World Championship a few years ago ....... was anything "special" done for that trifecta?

Didn't we win the World Juniors, The Men's World Championship and the Women's World Championship a few years ago ....... was anything "special" done for that trifecta? We have held events for many championship teams in the past which used to almost alway's be closed to the public. I don't recall if we did anything for any of the teams you are asking about but I know we did and Olympic one for the women and a World Cup one for the men. Neither of these were open to the public however. Last summer the Hall of Fame decided to see how it would work if we brought in entire teams for the public to meet and receive autographs. In return we received quite a positive response and thus this event on the 10th. Last year we had the Jr. Gold medalists (entire team) one day, the Memorial Cup winning London Knights on another day, and on Induction Weekend we had the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Tampa Bay Lightning in. I believe we will have the Carolina Huricanes in this year on the Friday of Induction weekend (early November) although it has not been confirmed yet.

Hey I figured I wasn't good enough to win the Stanley Cup, so now I get to work around it every day instead. I can't believe I forgot to add that Team Canada Captain Kyle Chipchura will also be here on Monday.
