Done deal ...
Too much imo, but Preds are all in.
Pending call ...

The Predators have experienced some depth issues up front between the injuries and suspensions. For a contender (Poile's core has won four playoff rounds over last two seasons), it is not a bad bet to give up a second round pick for a versatile veteran forward like Boyle.

Brian Boyle provides veteran depth at centre for the playoff run ... Toronto brought him in for the same purpose ... he's an UFA at the end of the season and I'm not sure he'll be in Nashville's plans moving forward ...
Cheers.

Preds haven't taken off like many said they would this season. They are trying to find the missing parts[/quote] Given the injuries they've fought through, I think they're doing very well. Forsberg has missed 16 games. Arvidsson - who just signed to a mega hometown discount - has missed more than 20. Turris too. PK has missed 18.

I still don't think PK is healthy. His minutes in games can vary quite a bit and he's usually 4th in minutes of the big 4, which indicates to me that there are times he's not feeling that well and they don't play him as much.
I think to truly be good enough to beat Tampa or San Jose (Hertl has become a star there), Poile needs to pick up one of Panarin, Duchene or Stone. Either Stone or Panarin would make his top two lines tough to play against.

Probably not a problem this season.

The Predators are a veteran team and they're starting to age a bit ... they're going to have to kick it into overdrive pretty soon before that window starts to close ... that said, as much as I respect Pekka Rinne, he's not going to take Nashville to the Promised Land ... don't get me wrong, I respect the accolades he's earned and he's a decent goaltender, but I really believe Nashville might have had a Cup by now if they were better in nets ...
Cheers.

Worst in the league. They need to add a big scorer over the top. Probably will cost them their pick and/or top prospect. The west is weak conference. Vegas got to finals last year and they were an expansion team. Tells the west is wide open to any of the 8 who get in. Calgary about the best, if Nash or Jets pick up a Stone could leap frog them.
