Leafs lose, sens lose Habs playing great... awesome night And the Leafs on Saturday night ... I actually like our chances in Toronto and they could end up one point back of the Leafs with a win ... Cheers.

If you want to encapsulate the near perfect game, this was it. Flyers had no answer for our transition game at all. Burned repeatedly. Could easily have been 5-0 before the first was over. That was a big game for the Flyers and we were on top of them from go. Gotta keep that mojo for Saturday.
Gallagher with his first hatty. Thought Thompson had an effective game, and that 4th line overall was good. No issues with Thompson's skating for me. So good having Byron back. His speed is just such a weapon, but he makes smart plays - which included a deft stick left to allow a team mate to grab control of the puck and clear.

Really happy for Gally and all the love he got from his mates. But can anyone tell me why the telecast can't show the hats being thrown on the ice. Are we still living in an era 30 years ago? I get you don't want to show some jerk running on the ice, or even streaking. But why can't you show one of the great celebratory traditions in all of sport?

Sorry I missed this one. Was thrilled to see Gally get a hattie online. Still managed some live hockey with a crazy OT Oil win over the Isles.

So does Domi get grief for the drop pass, or only Drouin. Stupid Domi... Why did we trade galchy for him 🤗 Galchenyuk does have 5 goals in his last 7 games including winners against Toronto & Van. Not saying I want a do over though.

Beat down at the Bell Centre...
Anybody else think they should pull Price after we went up 5-0? He's played a lot, and will continue to play a lot, and while one period probably isn't much in the grand scheme of things why risk it?

BC, yeah, it's an issue. I was saying in Dis' GDT Habs-Leafs that Price is being borderline overused. I mean, he is fourth in the league in minutes, which for a 31 year old with durability issues is probably not ideal.
During camp, Waite said the target was 55-60 games. Price will exceed that and by perhaps a significant margin.

Justin williams got a puck in the face... poor guy That's so sad My friends that aren't Habs fans never quite understand the hate that we have for Williams. Especially in recent years, as he's been lauded as this clutch game 7 playoff legend. Eff that. He'll always be the punk whose stick work denied us a spot in the 2006 conference finals.

If it was 5-1 then perhaps but at that point there was only 10 minutes left so don't see what one gains. Altho he's played a lot he has had huge chunks of time off this season. Real problem is lack of faith in the backup. MB and CJ have to figure that out - either you trust Niemi or you don't. If it's the latter get someone else.

Even if Roloson hadn't gotten hurt, the Oilers weren't that good a team. Hell, the Canes weren't that good a team. I still despise Williams, no matter how nice a guy he may be.
