Redline says Habs had second best day of all teams at this year's draft. He says we managed to bag 4 of his top 42 picks. Remember, Woodlief also raved longest and loudest about Kostitsyn before and after the 2003 draft. Could it be that Timmins relies heavily on Woodlief's scouting service? If he does, then his list and Redline's would be similar, so he'd end up drafting a lot of Redline favourites.

Red Line had him ranked 6th among forwards for the 2005 draft.

Of course, as is the case with any draft, time will tell.
But I think that any time a team can grab 4 of the top 42 players, then it is a pat on the back for the GM and his scouting staff.
Also, consider that both White and Maxwell were picked by some publications to go in the first round.
I think that it was a strong draft by Timmins and Co.
Also, stocking up on fleet-footed defencemen was a very smart move.

ISS had Latendresse at 3rd overall in their 2004 draft guide (they do a top 15 for the next years draft) But he dropped after a major shoulder injury.
