Doubt they want his attitude in dressing room. Absolutely. Who needs a guy driven to win? If his attitude is bad in the dressing room I’d look at just who exactly he’s bothering and perhaps that guy has the wrong attitude. Subban has become a very average defenseman with an attitude and a very big price tag. I suspect if the Devils could move him for mid-rounds draft picks he would be gone in a heartbeat. Now PK at $3 million a season on the third pairing and as a PP specialist would be a different story. Let him continue doing soup commercials and podcasts outside of Montreal. |

I'd like to see how he does under the new head coach in NJ, Lindy Ruff ... there's still some gas left in the tank methinks, but he hasn't even been a viable fantasy hockey option the past two seasons ... maybe Ruff can get him going ... dunno ... We know PK is loud and boisterous and the hockey mentality is the complete opposite... it's no wonder the NBA (who would love a PK personality) is leaps and bounds ahead of the NHL (stoic/platitudes type personality)... it's also interesting how he is fine for NHL corporate as well. They say he rubs people the wrong way. Jersey fans are offering Subban for nil in return with 50% retained. I am kind of torn on this. Don't want to disrupt our dressing room. It can be disastrous. On the other hand we have leadership now, Weber maybe able to strengthen PK out. He certainly helped Chiarot, Petry, Kulak. Also allows us to trade Petry for significant return. At 50% retained, it actually gives us an extra 1 million in caproom considereing Petry is 5.5 million. It is a touchy situation. But I see strong chance Subban be on his 4th team in as many years very soon. |
