Cournoyer is one of favorite Habs. To me his career high was in '73 playoffs. That whole year he was insane playing with Lemaire and Big M. I still say that was greatest Habs line I have seen. The '75 New Years Eve game he was good also. His antipaction on faceoffs was unreal. He had that great passion to win. Speedy coming down on wing, used a straight blade which he could switch hands. Beliveau said he never saw a player with bigger leg muscles. |
