Emergency alerts...

Last night, at 3 in the morning my phone went crazy with emergency alerts. Apparently, some father "abducted" his 2 year old daughter....150 km away
The alert was repeated at 3.30 AGAIN and wouldn't stop until I woke up AGAIN to shut if down.
Repeated at 4.00 started AGAIN until, you guessed if, woke up AGAIN to shuf if off.
So now, MILLIONS of people all over Ontario woke up in middle of the night to do what? Run naked in the streets at 3 am looking for a child in a family dispute? Or gather semi naked at street corners and discuss the great job social services is doing at 3 in the morning? Possibly bring hunting rifles to shoot off the tires of the errant dads car? Organize street rallies? DO WHAT?
This morning, it was all over the news how the police, those wonderful non donut eaters were doing a great job...at family services. We should all appreciate the great work they are doing. After all we got that message at 3.00, 3.30 and 4.00 in the morning.
So I ask...and repeat myself, can someone please explain to me how waking up millions of people at 3 in the morning, possibly thousands of kilometers away are going to help in a family dispute?
Or is this some great big effen experiment in social conditioning by self appointed social elites? This is sooo third world where Russia and company would hold "emergency" sirens at 3 in the morning to condition society to respond to government alerts. Of course, Igor would get on the radio the next morning exalting the great state and concerns about it's "subjects".
There is a term for this....trigger conditioning. Ring. Jump. Obay. News at 6.00.
BTW...there are literally thousands of cameras all over the intersection to.....read your license plate. Same liscence plates by errant fathers with abducted children. Same liscence plates that every cop car is equipped to read automatically.
And....here is a shocker, they can track daddy's cell phone and locate him weighing 50 meters from triangulating cell towers. The very same cell phones they wake us up with.
As for the phone, you can't shut if by turning off LTE. I tried. It literally is hooked up to your cell reception. In my case, if I shut my cell phone off, I kill access to three alarm systems and my 101 year old fathers emergency response. A REAL and imminent life threatening emergency. Like he can be lying on the floor, dying.
ONCE AGAIN, a bunch of walking, talking, self designated masters of all, these morons have taken what can and should be used sparingly and for true emergencies, with local designation alerts for any hope of real help, into a cluster wave of aggravation.
