Faulk on the move?

After signing Gardiner, the Canes look set to move pending UFA Faulk:

Murray must love Faulk because it is not logical on the surface why a team that is seemingly embarking on a rebuild wants to sign a 28 year old d-man long-term.

Faulk is a good player, for sure. He is a weapon on the power play and Anaheim is in bad shape on the right side of the defense. But it looks like a weird deal for the Ducks to pursue.
