It is a very pricey deal for a guy coming off his ELC. But Colorado is setting things up nicely to become a contender and stay there for a number of years.

It is a very pricey deal for a guy coming off his ELC. But Colorado is setting things up nicely to become a contender and stay there for a number of years. Two straight 80 plus point seasons. Avg of 30 goals those 2 years. Had a strong playoff. He and Marner are very comparable based on position and production. Avs got Rantanen for $1.5 million less. I think it's a strong deal for both sides. |
