Going to the draft table is like going on a blind date. They all look good at the outset. Otherwise you wouldn't have chosen them. Upon closer inspection there is a mole on the upper lip and the breath could use some mouthwash. It seldom goes up from there. Once in a long while a slow developer like Ryder and Higgins overcome their initial impressions. When they are working hard at making it work, they get extra brownie points. We all want to see it work.

if by some chance keaton ellerby is available when we pick i'd take him, but thats after only seeing him play two games. i see jonathan blum play every home game, great skater and vision, how much will he grow is what i don't know. also see michael repik play a lot too, but i don't like him, he hasn't shown a lot of improvement this season imo.
