I'm impressed with what little I have seen. He reminds me of Beliveau with a stand up, heads up play.
I'm going to go out on a limb and call him a franchise Center?
Soo....what will it take to get him? Our first AND Suzuki? More? Add Caufield?
What would you be willing to give up to get him?

Lafreniere may not be a generational talent but he certainly looks elite. I am not sure he projects to play centre, but he can be dominant driver of play from the wing. I kind of look at him and see a more physical, shoot first version of Huberdeau.
It has been a long time since a club traded out of the #1 overall slot in the draft. so market values are hard to even ascertain. If I were to speculate, I would imagine that it would be the Habs first (probably in the 10-12 range), Suzuki, Caufield, and Romanov. That would be an extraordinary price to pay but Lafreniere may be extraordinary.

Not a player to trade. Suzuki, Romanov and a healthy team with a fresh start equals a playoff team with everyone improved over last year. We are adding 14 players to an already deep prospect pool. Keep the best and upgrade the rest. Young players on good contracts.
