Hope for the best for him.
Other then my butcher, I do not know anyone who has been taken by this virus. Nor do I want to ever hear of anyone. EVER.
Hope he has a speedy and full recovery.

We're lucky in that neither one of us knows anyone who came down with it ... best of luck to Marc Tardif and Georges Laraque ... son of a gun, eh ... Cheers.

Wow.. Hope they get well soon. I too have been fortunate in that I do not know of anyone who has been affected by it.

I know of three people.
* A friend of mine works as a nurse at the Montreal General. He has it, pretty bad. He's not hospitalized (yet), but he says its the worst flu he's ever had. He's male, in his 40s. * A friend of friend, female, also in her 40s, works in a Montreal-area Seniors Residence. She says it's not bad. * A friend's grandmother. She's in a Toronto area Senior's Residence, and is 100 years old. I'm not so confident about her chances.
My best friend also works as a nurse, in the ER at the Montreal Jewish. He feels swamped there, and that's not even one of the badly hit hospitals. He doesn't think this is going to be over with anytime soon.

With people facing lonely death, i have a hard time worrying about millionaires losing escrow dollars to salary cap or billionaires hustling to fit 82 games into five months to maximize revenue. Toronto and Montreal owners have a very different view than Anaheim or Florida owners on the ability to fill seats. New York may have a difficult time reopening while Minnesota may not. We all have our own problems.

I have seen stories of people in their 90s, or older, beating it. It's probably rare but it can happen.
