On the surface of it, that looks like a good deal for Vegas. Lehner was awesome in both 2018-19 and 2019-20. Plus, he will be 33 when the deal expires (Price's current age) so that is not scary and even right now if you look at him as a 29 year old he does not have a lot of miles on his hips and knees.
But there may always be a tiny lingering question about his past. And I suppose skeptics may also say he played lights out on prove it one-year contracts, so will he be the same guy with considerable job security.
I tend to believe this deal will work out fine. Obviously the bigger issue to resolve is how they make Fleury go away without retaining fifty percent or buying him out which is quite costly it is a $7M AAV with two years left on it.

I guess he will have to prove me wrong but I never saw this guy as a starter. He's already on his 5th team.
I'm having trouble understanding McCrimmon. He fired Gallant & replaced him with another retread in DeBoer & now he is pushing Fleury aside. Just don't see it working out.
