Caufield just took a knee to knee hit like literally five minutes ago. It looked ugly. Luckily, he seems to be okay and stayed out on the ice to work the power play. And as poetic justice he just ripped one from the right dot for the goal. But he subsequently walked back to the room to let the trainers take a closer look.
Someone on Wisconsin should go beat the snot out of the dude on Michigan State, but I guess this is NCAA hockey and all so that is not really an option.

For those not watching, here is CC’s goal in the PP.
And goal #12 for the year. A different look.
Holloway with a great goal. I guess he took the feed from CC, whom you can see trailing. 3 point night for the wee fella.

One heck of a move and pass by Caufield. That was a firm pass!

Wisconsin is playing well. Caufield just potted another one from his office on the power play. It was kind of soft on the part of the Michigan State goalie, but hey they all count.

Here is Cole’s PP goal from today. 2+2 today. 2+1 yesterday. He likes playing Michigan State. He is 1st in the NCAA in goals and second in points.

Farrell with a goal. Steel losing after two though.
Edit. The Steel were smoked 7-2 by Muskegon tonight. Coronato was held pointless. They have moved Farrell off his line to the 2C spot with Doan (Shane’s kid...undrafted) and a 2024 born. Maybe to spread the scoring around. Farrell seems to still be getting a few points, but the top one is less effective. Hmmmmmm. Farrell is just one point behind Coronato in the league scoring race, but has played one less game. He leads the league in ppg average.

Biondi gets fourth line minutes, but he had a really nice assist tonight. Wins a puck board battle, leads the rush along the wall, and gets the puck into a good place for the goal. Some hockey IQ on display. Just get a bit more nimble on those blades, buddy.
Edit: Biondi has played in 15 games and has 4 points. The promising stat is three of the four points are in his last 5 games. It is a big adjustment from high school to NCAA hockey, so confidence comes with time for many. And, he has to adjust to limited ice time on a deep team from being the go-to guy on his previous team, playing in all circumstances and a whole lot more.

Farrell competes the hat trick, and then the Steel cruise to a 7-4 win over rival Muskegon who had taken two from Chicago this weekend. And the league’s new points leader is Sean Farrell. He also added an assist to go along with his three goals today.
He now has 46 points in 24 games. He also set a new USHL career high for himself with his 16th goal today.

Pitlick is consistently inconsistent. He had 2 assists in his first game with his new team Tri-City, then three games without a point, and he gets 3 helpers in a 7-2 win tonight.

AHL teams in Canada have had their season debut pushed back. The rest of the AHL starts this weekend. Yeah two hurdles remain. The ONT government still has not given the green light for Belleville and the Marlies to play (yet the Laffs and Sens play now). And Calgary has moved its team from Stockton to Calgary for this season, so there is some quarantine time to be completed. I will update any news I see/find in the Laval thread.

Olofsson scored his 7th today, and it ended up being the GWG in Timra’s 4-2 win.
Edit: Here is the goal. It is a really nice one-timer, which is a bit of a new look! His 9th point in his last 10 games so he is on a bit of a roll.

After 7 points in his two weekend games, the first star for BigTen was almost a slam dunk.

In the battle of the Huskies, UConn prevailed 4-1 over Northeastern. Harris had a nice assist on their goal. #2 in white. Struble left the last game with a LBI. He missed this game. No idea how long he is out.

I would like to take a look at this game. It strikes me as odd that right here in the Great Lakes region that neither the Big Ten Network nor NBCSN seems to have it on.

UMD blowing out Miami (Ohio) tonight. Biondi opened the scoring with his second of the season. I like his freshman season so far. It is about adapting to a higher caliber of play.

#17 for #26. A very weird one. Rips it high, big bounce of the back boards, off the goalie’s back, and it counts! Farrell on the board yet again.

Highway robbery. Dobes’ best save on his 25 last night. He was named the 2nd star in Omaha’s 3-2 win.
