I was walking on air coming out of woods yesterday morning.

I have an absolute rule for non pest fauna...I must eat what I hunt.

These days, with fewer people hunting it's a bit less fun. A few years back, went with friends in a hide with about 600 open acres and watched about 30-35 Bambi pop up, after the first three, didn't want to turn it into the Bambi Slaughter Fields. It wasn't much of a "hunt". More like easy 4 legged target practice.

Anywho, after a while, as much as we love meat, couldn't really make it into a main course. We also found that even though we vacuumed packed and deep freezed it, Bambi meat smell permeated the freezer.

What I really like to try is wild boar meat. I had a taste of it in the old country and just wow.....

Deer chops are my favorite part of the deer. It is all good. But I like the chops the best
