Two year deal due to his age. They had him on an AHL deal this last season as a bit of a show-me deal, and he had a good rookie pro season. He started out like a ball on fire and cooled a bit later on, but he always gives a ton of energy. He lacks ideal size, speed and arguably the skill to carve out a guaranteed NHL career, but it will not be for lack of effort.
Well earned after being a strong player for Laval this year.
With Fairbrother already signed, RHP was the only other guy whose rights expire on June 1st that I figured would get a deal. Both Ikonen and LeGuerrier are very unlikely to get a deal due to the numbers game.
