Each day I like to so something besides the usual. Like jog a mile, learn a new recipe, watch a physics documentary. Yesterday, I went to youtube, watched two videos. After watching a 6 minute video. I learned how to put an edge on a kitchen knife using a honing steel. I also learned the difference between sharpening a knife and putting an edge on one. I also learned how to use a whetstone.
After watching another video, I out did myself. I build a nice trellis for Jenn's honeysuckle. Could not believe how nice it turned out. Out back of my barn I found an 8' board left over from another project years ago. Cut it into 6 strips. Vertical 5 strips went, the 6th I cut into pieces to hold the other 5 together horizontal. Worked perfect!
Today, I am looking on the internet for a great salad dressing. Hoping my day today is as good as yesterday.

Good philosophy for the times. We are at home so take advantage of the time for continuous learning.
It's good to challenge yourself & get out of your comfort zone.

Good philosophy for the times. We are at home so take advantage of the time for continuous learning. It's good to challenge yourself & get out of your comfort zone. I watched a documentary on the Roosevelts last night. They emigrated from Amsterdam in 1640. BOught 50 acres in what is downtown Manhattan today. By 1900s it was worth a fortune. Teddy Roosevelt was a great President too. He started a lot of national parks. Panama Canal was his doing. He helped finance overthrow of Colombia gov't to build the Canal. He overcame many medical problems to become famous. FDR is most known Pres. Both are in top 5 Presidents of all time I would say. UP there with Washington, Lincoln, JFK.
