Some of Hainsworth's numbers seem unattainable today. 22 shutouts in 44 games. I know it was a different era but that's a ridiculous number.
And why do young people from that time look so much older than they were? Hainsworth was born in 1895 so he is probably in his early 30s in that picture yet he looks like he was pushing 50.

That's why it is hard to class an all time greats list. Honestly with those stats he is the best all time...but because we never saw him, he isn't in the class of Brodeur, Roy and Hasek. In 50 years from now, the names of Richard, Lafleur, Beliveau, Dryden, will be dropped for the flavors du jour a la Matthews, McDavid, MacKinnon.
