Watched the entire game...yes I did...lol
Our forwards played and looked small....chippy, but small.
Fairbrother has a nasty streak...
Norlinder....has game but no standout..
Guhle....the only reason I watched. He did not start on the pp or pk...I don't know what to read in that. Given that he was out in the final minute, the coaches probably wanted to see the other rookies. As usual, played his defensive role well and was physical.
Mysak...our best forward.
Lots of scrambling that was closer to beer league then high level junior. First game together and can't expect that much.
What was clear, the Hens had few of the better prospects.

All our extra picks a few years ago starting to pay dividends. Norlinder he could be good, I mean scary good. He has offensive instincts you don't see often. But his positioning and decision making I seen a few major flaws. Trudeau never heard of him before but he was impressive. Can skate with size and decent hands. Has a chance. Mysak he has the hands to be NHL center. Fairbrother he is certainly a roughed personnel. Lyle Odelein 2.0?

I noticed Norlinder a lot more after he scored his goal ... I was reading elsewhere that while he has the offence, he really has to improve the defensive side of his game ... would like to see him start the year in Laval ... can't tell you about Fairbrother, because I didn't see him play as much (I was in/out of the game, kind of thing) ... both were drafted in the 3rd round only a few spots from each other in the 2019 draft ... Cheers.

Today’s game is streaming on RDS.ca. No announcers. 2-0 Sens after one with both goals from big Sokolov. He has a great shot (always has).

Another 4-3 loss to the more talented and far more experienced Sens rookies. Goals by RHP, Joshua Roy and Myka Cyr (invitee). Gravel in net the whole game. A tale of two games: two bad periods (down 4-0) and a very good third period. Roy with a goal and an assist looked good out there, as he was my more pleasant surprise today.

I was reading elsewhere that while he has the offence, he really has to improve the defensive side of his game ... would like to see him start the year in Laval ... Cheers. I believe there is some agreement between the SHL and NHL that if a guy doesn't make the big league team, he must return to Sweden. That would mean that Laval isn't an option for Norlinder. It's either Montreal or Frolunda. At least that's my understanding.

He is still under contract with Frölunda and his out clause only applies to the NHL club as a third rounder. Frölunda has first right of refusal if he does not make the Habs and they are big on the kid, so they most likely would get him back into a key role with the club.

Developing in the SHL wouldn't hurt him, IMHO ... looking forward to seeing him in Montreal, hopefully sooner, rather than later ... thanks for the info ... Cheers.
